Thursday ThreeWell it is Thursday again, Darn! I can't participate this week. I have never watched a morning TV show. I also do not watch any local programming so I have no idea other than I always thought I could do a real good Buffalo Bob. Is he still around?
Today's Rant: While driving, please pay attention to the signal lights and don't lock up all four wheels of your pickup when you suddenly realize your light is red. Oh never mind. That was me.

Lee and I drove to Florence last night for visitation for a friend who died Saturday. Jesse was 82 and always a funny guy to be around. Before moving to be near their children, he and Evelyn attended Church with us. Jesse never sat near the front because he said he couldn't afford the expensive seats. I used to tease him that I was going to put a coin operated turnstile at the door so that he had to pay at least a quarter for the sermon. If the preacher was standing near, he always said the price was too high.
I learned some things about him I didn't know. He was drafted in WW2 and served in 3RD Army (Patton's) as an optometry assistant. He once told me that he and the optometrist went to the soldiers and made glasses at the front. After the war, he went to optometry school. When Korea came along, he joined the Air Force and served another three years. That's the part I didn't know. He wasn't recalled, he rejoined.
What more could you expect from a dumb old country boy from Louton, Tennessee.

I am now in my fourth week of taking guitar lessons and I keep learning just how hard it is to unlearn a "skill".
It is raining steady here and the ground is getting pretty soggy. Rain is not my favorite weather. In fact, I am not sure it makes the top ten.
I am supposed to be playing "Salt Creek" by my lesson Wednesday. It is a challenge especially since I don't recall ever hearing the tune.
Did I mention it is raining?
