I am trying to not count any chickens, but it is starting to look like we may get some work on a couple of new contracts. Sure could use some! I'm getting awfully tired of the constant battle to keep the company going. I remember my MBA advisor saying that in business that you should double all the things you estimate to be bad for you and half all the good estimates. Like Mr. Murphy, Prof. Blekicki was an optimist.

At least the bass playing is improving and in fact, my guitar playing seems to be getting better also. I am up to working on walking bass runs in multiple keys and on playing the old Buck Owens tune "Buckaroo" on the guitar. Before I started stretching my hand to play the bass, I wouldn't have had a chance of playing the second measure of "Buckaroo". I still have a real hard time of it but at least I can reach the notes, just not when I should.

I saw this story in the Huntsville Times yesterday and found it amusing. It fits well with my theory that you gain 30 IQ points merely by taking a job inside the 495 Beltway.

On the other hand, should we let all our smart people work in one place?

As for me, I really do need to learn how to do those neat links.
