Six AM is a nice quiet time when you are in the office alone. Five AM is even quieter since there is not as much traffic on the street outside. We have been working several proposals this month and are close to wrapping them up. We expect to win on five of the six, but no work comes with the contracts. Don't ask. If you have never tried government contracting, I could never explain how much fun it truly is. What we will get out of the contracts is the right to try to talk some government person into giving us a little work.
It's times like this that make me think seriously about just hanging it up and becoming an itinerant musician. Theoretically, I should be able to make a little just from the people who would pay me to stop playing and singing.
Well, back on my head now.
